Coreen Vlodarchyk, Vice President of patient care services, chief nurse executive

Coreen Vlodarchyk joined Barnes-Jewish Hospital as vice president of patient care services in October 2003. Vlodarchyk previously served as vice president for patient care services for Harper University Hospital, a 465- bed university affiliated and adult tertiary care hospital and the 100-bed Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, both at the Detroit Medical Center. She was also an adjunct professor at Wayne State University in Detroit. Vlodarchyk began her nursing career as a staff nurse in the adult ICU at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She has been a professor of nursing for more than 22 years, and served 15 years as director of nursing programs and clinical programs at St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology in Windsor, Ontario. Vlodarchyk earned a master of science in administration from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., a bachelor of science in nursing from Wayne State University and a diploma in nursing from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing.
