A committee made up of physicians from Washington University School of Medicine and clinical documentation specialists from Barnes-Jewish Hospital has worked with a vendor this year to create a clinical documentation phone application specifically for our physicians. The app replaces the clinical documentation tip cards physicians have used at the hospital for the past few years.
“The app will be much easier to access and use than the tip cards, and will include information for all service lines,” says Katie Henderson, MD, Assistant Chief Medical Officer, who led the effort. The app uses ICD-10 specific language and will work on both Apple and Android phones. “The app will be available to all of our providers and is free to download.”
