It’s all about ‘fit.’
As one of the top medical institutions in the nation, the career opportunities here are amazing. Barnes-Jewish is all about “fit;” your own drive and determination is noticed and encouraged. After a few years in entry-level management, I went back to grad school to get my MBA and was able to utilize the tuition assistance program, as well as our online management development courses. After serving as the pharmacy manager for several years, I’m now proud to be the director of the center for diversity and cultural competency for Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s hospitals.
Tremendous support. Incredible exposure.
In my 16 years at Barnes-Jewish, I’ve progressed from medication dispensing in an inpatient environment and program development, as a pharmacist, to promoting an environment of diversity, inclusion and equality throughout Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s hospitals. I think both roles have given me an incredible opportunity to take excellent care of patients, family members and visitors, and both departments have given me tremendous support.
