Moyamoya disease clinical trial

Washington University School of Medicine is the site for a research study sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). The purpose of the research is to understand the natural history of Moyamoya. Specifically, researchers would like to know how often Moyamoya disease reduces blood flow and affects oxygen use by the brain. In addition, the study will seek to determine if these effects on blood flow and oxygen use increase the risk of having a stroke in the future.
