Robert Cannon is president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital and group president of BJC HealthCare. Robert is also a co-chair of the steering committee for the 10-year Washington University Medical Center campus renewal project.
Robert has previous experience with BJC HealthCare including leading strategic planning, capital budgeting, supply chain operations, clinical asset management, facilities planning and real estate operations. He also had executive responsibility for BJC Home Care Services, BJC Behavioral Health and BJC Corporate Health.
Before joining BJC in 2000, Robert was assistant dean of the University of Chicago’s Division of the Biological Sciences and Pritzker School of Medicine. His prior experience includes positions with Argonne National Laboratory, Lockheed Corporation and federal Office of Management and Budget.
Robert serves on the boards of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Gateway Area Chapter), the CityArchRiver project, the Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corporation and the CORTEX biosciences district.
He is a graduate of the University of Chicago and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California Los Angeles.
