Mark Krieger joined Barnes-Jewish Hospital as vice president and chief financial officer in 2004. Prior to joining
Barnes-Jewish, Krieger served for two years as vice president and chief financial officer of Sara Lee Bakery Group and for
five years at its predecessor corporation, The Earthgrains Company. Earthgrains is a $2.5 billion consumer packaged
goods, NYSE public company with 20,000 employees in four countries. Prior to his work with Sara Lee and Earthgrains,
Krieger spent more than fifteen years in various corporate planning and finance leadership roles for Anheuser-Busch
Companies, Inc., in St. Louis and Dallas, focusing on acquisitions and business integration.
Krieger has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s in business administration- finance from the University of
Missouri-St. Louis.
