Katrina Farmer became vice president, diversity, inclusion and equity for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 2013. She is focused on the hospital’s efforts surrounding inclusion.
Farmer’s leadership skills combine with experience centering on equity of care and the elimination of disparities in health care.
Previously, Farmer served as the system director, diversity, succession planning & career development for Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio. She also served with distinction at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus from 2004-2007, where she developed diversity training and bolstered cultural awareness.
Farmer earned a bachelor’s in human resources management and master’s in business administration from Franklin University.
