Don Lichti became vice president for ancillary services at the former Barnes Hospital in 1989. He is responsible
for many of the support departments within the hospital. Prior to his vice president role, he served as director of
laboratories at Barnes Hospital and as director for the Institute of Rehabilitation at Washington University. Lichti
came to the former Barnes Hospital in 1981 after spending 10 years at the University of Arizona where he worked
in various positions in the laboratory.
During the merger of Barnes and Jewish Hospitals and the formation of BJC HealthCare, Lichti also had other
responsibilities within BJC as vice president for laboratory services and as vice president for ancillary services at St. Louis
Children’s Hospital. He has a master’s degree in public policy administration from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
