The Siteman Cancer Center team believes mammography screening should be available to every woman, everywhere. To improve the convenience and availability of mammography, Siteman operates a mobile mammography van that offers screenings by appointment at various locations in the St. Louis area and beyond.
Using state-of-the-art digital equipment that emits the lowest possible radiation dose, technologists obtain two-view mammograms. In 2010, the mammography van served 5,672 community members at 238 locations, providing underserved local women with quality preventative care.
