Philanthropic gifts are essential to make Barnes-Jewish Hospital a national leader in medicine. Private funding enables us to keep advancing medicine. The gift you give today will help ensure that the best health care will be there when it’s needed for you or someone you love.
Did you know that your annual giving supports:
- promising research projects, including innovative research into the genetic components of cancers
- academic scholarships and fellowships to educate the next generation of physicians and nurses
- essential care items and medication for low-income patients
- clinical trials, like the PARTNER project that brought into practice new treatment options for cardiac patients
Your gift, no matter the size, improves the care patients receive today and allows Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s nationally recognized researchers to continue their efforts to make better treatment options available tomorrow.
Here are some examples of what gifts to The Foundation can do:
$25 furnishes four hospice patients a specialty beds for in their homes for one day to help prevent bed sores.
$50 purchases treatment manuals for 25 newly diagnosed cancer patients.
$100 provides a medical visit/labs for a young adult participating in SPOT (Supporting Positive Opportunities with Teens) clinic.
$300 provides post-discharge medications for three uninsured or underinsured patients while medication coverage can be arranged.
$500 pays for blood pressure monitors for 10 heart surgery patients for monitoring their blood pressure at home after surgery.
$1,000 provides a scholarship to help offset the cost of a nurse’s education at the Goldfarb School or Nursing.
