Cancer shows no mercy. Its dark cloud has touched most of us in some way. But the
illumination Gala, the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation’s annual, premier fundraising gala, rallies our community to help make the future brighter in St. Louis and beyond.
All proceeds are direct to the
Cancer Frontier Fund , the Foundation's $50 million campaign, helps researchers at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine accelerate breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. In 2010 the
Cancer Frontier Fund supported Siteman's research in breast cancer vaccination, melanoma vaccination, and improving outcomes for leukemia and esophogeal cancer patients.

illumincation 2013 Highlights
With a sold-out crowd topping 600 guests, The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s 2013 illumination Gala raised nearly $1.8 million for cancer research at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. The event was held April 20, 2013, at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers were the special musical guests.

illumination10held Saturday, May 15 at the Chase Park Plaza was a huge success raising over $1.6 million for the Cancer Frontier Fund to benefit the Siteman Cancer Center!
