How to Get a Heart Second Opinion

Call for an appointment.

When you call (855) 925-0631 , a referral line specialist will help you schedule an appointment with a Washington University heart specialist.

Your medical records are reviewed.

Before we can offer a second opinion, we must first review your medical records. We will provide you a list of the records that are needed from your physician. You can request the records yourself or we can help get them for you. If you would like our help, we will fax or mail you a medical release form to sign and return to that authorizes us to contact your physician for your medical records.

Receive your Heart Second Opinion.

At your appointment, along with a comprehensive evaluation, you will discuss your current condition and receive recommendations from a Washington University heart specialist.

Results are communicated directly to you, confidentially. If you prefer, we will also send the results to your physician. The nurse can also arrange for the physician who provided the second opinion to speak with your physician about your results.

To make an appointment or for more information about the Heart Second Opinion Program, call 855.925.0631.
