Spring Cleaning Tips
Several different types of mold exist in homes. But you don''t have to be a biologist to identify the mold you have — it''s all treated the same. Put bleach water (one cup bleach with one gallon water) in your cleaning arsenal to wipe out visible surface mold.
Dr. Kulczycki also recommends:
- Fix leaks immediately.
- Toss toys, boxes and clothes that have gotten wet – they grow mold easily.
- If your home has flooded, call a professional company that does mold remediation.
- When using chemicals to clean, keep the windows open.
