How to Schedule a Radiology Exam

Appointments are available every weekday, as well as during the evening and on Saturday.

Schedule MRI Exam
MRI appointments are scheduled M-F from 6:30am to 8:00pm and Saturdays from 7:30am to 2:30pm. MRI exams are by appointment only. Your referring physician will schedule an appointment for you.
Please make sure to pre-register for your MRI exam prior to your appointment. To pre-register or reschedule your MRI exam call Radiology Scheduling at 314-362-7111 or 877-992-7111, M-F, from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Please confirm with your referring physicians office that any precertification required by your insurance has been completed before your appointment.
If you have a menstrual cycle, a breast MRI can only be performed between days 7 and 10 of your monthly cycle. Please count the first day you start your cycle as day 1. If you will not be in this timeframe at the time of your appointment please reschedule your exam by calling Radiology Scheduling at 314-362-7111 or 877-992-7111, from 7:00am to 5:30pm.

Schedule CT Exam
CT appointments are scheduled M- F from 7:00am to 5:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. CT exams are by appointment only. Typically, your referring physician will schedule an appointment for you. If you need to reschedule your CT exam or if you have been asked to schedule your appointment yourself, please call Radiology Scheduling at 314-362-7111 or 877-992-7111, M-F from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
If you have been asked to schedule the appointment yourself, please have your physician's order and any pre-authorization information required by your insurance or health plan provider in hand before calling Radiology Scheduling.
Please confirm with your referring physicians office that any precertification required by your insurance has been completed before your appointment.

Schedule Ultrasound Exam
Ultrasound appointments are scheduled M-F from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Ultrasounds are scheduled by appointment only by your referring physician. If you need to reschedule your ultrasound or if you have been asked to schedule your appointment yourself, please call Radiology Scheduling at 314-362-7111 or 877-992-7111, M-F from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
If you have been asked to schedule the appointment yourself, please have your physician's order in hand before calling Radiology Scheduling.

Schedule Interventional Radiology Procedure
IR appointments are scheduled M-F from 7:30am to 2:00pm. IR procedures are by appointment only. Typically your referring physician will schedule an appointment for you. Some procedures can only be scheduled by your physician. If you need to reschedule your IR procedure or if you have been asked to schedule your appointment yourself, please call Radiology Scheduling at 314-362-7111 or 877-992-7111, M-F from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Please have your physician's order and any pre-authorization information required by your insurance or health plan provider in hand before calling the IR department to make an appointment.

Schedule GI/GU Appointment
GI/GU appointments are scheduled M-F from 7:30am to 11:15am. GI/GU exams are by appointment only and are scheduled by your referring physician.

Schedule Nuclear Medicine Exam
Nuclear medicine appointments are scheduled M-F from 7:00am to 3:00pm and Saturdays from 7:30am to 11:00am (no PET exams on Saturdays). Nuclear medicine exams are by appointment only and are typically scheduled by your referring physician.

Schedule PET/CT Exam

Schedule X-Ray
X-ray exams at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Radiology are done on a “walk-in” basis and are performed at several locations.
- Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine – 6th floor
Outpatient x-ray exams are done M-F from 7:00am – 5:00pm at this location. X-ray exams are done on a “walk-in” basis only.
- Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine - 3rd floor Express Testing
Only outpatient chest x-ray exams are done at this location, M-F from 6:30am to 6:00pm. Chest x-rays are done on a “walk-in” basis only.
- Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine - 8th floor Express Testing
Only outpatient chest x-rays exams are done at this location, M/T/Th/F from 8:00am to 4:30pm and Wednesdays from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Chest x-rays are done on a “walk-in” basis only. This imaging area primarily services the Lung Center and Thoracic Surgery.
- Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine – 12th floor orthopedic physician’s office.
This imaging area is located in the orthopedic physician’s office on the 12th floor and only services those physicians. Outpatient x-ray exams are done M-F from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
- Highlands
Outpatient x-ray exams are done M-F from 8:00am to 6:00pm. X-rays are done on a “walk-in” basis only. This imaging area primarily services the Highlands Physicians’ Offices but will accept outside orders.
Bone density exams can also be performed at this location, M-F from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Scheduling your bone density exam is recommended but walk-ins are also welcome. Call Radiology Scheduling at 314-362-7111 or 877-992-7111, M-F from 7:00am to 5:30pm to schedule your bone density exam.
