The Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) course is taught concurrently with the Advanced Trauma Life Support for physicians. ATCN was developed to teach established standards of care and practical, life saving skills. Advanced trauma course is designed for nurses that are working in the emergency department, intensive care unit, medical surgical floor or the operating room who wish to increase their knowledge and practical skills in managing the multiple injured trauma patient.
