In a tremendous outpouring of support, $1.9 million was raised for the Cancer Frontier Fund last Saturday evening to fund life saving research at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington School of Medicine.

Pedal the Cause, the annual bike challenge raising money for cancer research at the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine as well as St. Louis Children’s Hospital, will announce research 12 projects made possible by the 2011 event.

Award-winning vocalist and actress Minnie Driver will perform at The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s annual illumination gala benefiting the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine, Saturday, April 14 at The Ritz-Carlton in Clayton.

Peabody Opera House has announced that net proceeds totaling $100,000 from its grand re-opening gala have been donated to The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital to support research at the John L. Trotter Multiple Sclerosis Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine.

Sandy Brickman still runs into patients she cared for as a nurse at Barnes-Jewish Hospital from 1975 to 2005.
