In summer 2011, the Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Heart & Vascular Center officially opened its doors to bring together specialists in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery. Through the center, these integrated specialists personalize each patient’s care and coordinate the diagnosis and recommendations from each specialty into one treatment plan.
Patients at the Heart & Vascular Center are seen in one physical space, from the initial visit through all follow-up care.
The single point of entry makes access easier for heart and vascular patients. Through the center, patients also have access to the latest technology, breakthroughs and clinical trials.
The center’s main entrance is a newly designed lobby located on the first floor of Queeny Tower on the Barnes-Jewish Hospital south campus. Designed with the patient in mind, the Heart & Vascular Center lobby provides valet parking and a dedicated concierge to escort patients to their destinations.
