About the Women & Infants Program

The new Women & Infants Center brings together specialists from the top-rated hospitals in the region to provide care, guidance and support for every possible health concern for women and infants. These institutions include Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University Physicians.

We are one of the largest and most modern facilities in the region with amenities to provide comfort to the whole family. Our Center occupies two floors in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Parkview Tower and directly connects to the expanded Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in St. Louis Children’s Hospital, making it easy for moms to visit their babies.

Together, our nationally renowned experts offer the most advanced diagnostic services and treatments available for the health needs of every infant and woman. But we do more than that. We take care of you and your family through compassionate, individualized care.

High-Risk Pregnancy

A high-risk pregnancy, when a woman or her baby has certain medical conditions or a woman is carrying multiple fetuses, demands special attention. Our experienced high-risk pregnancy team includes maternal-fetal and newborn medicine specialists, fetal surgeons and pediatric specialists who care for women and their babies from preconception through pregnancy, delivery and beyond.

Fertility & Reproductive Medicine

For women or couples who are having trouble getting pregnant, our reproductive endocrinologists can help. We are leaders in the field, having conducted the first successful in-vitro fertilization (IVF) procedure in Missouri in 1985. We evaluate, diagnose and treat more than 2,000 couples a year with consistently high success rates.
