Mission
The Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation solicits, generates, manages, and disperses resources to support Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a national leader,

in its quest to
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Advance clinical research.
- Support the education of healthcare professionals.
We exist to help givers follow their desire to make a difference that will change lives, save lives, and transform healthcare.
History
The Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation emerged in 1996 through the combination of the fundraising programs of the former Barnes Hospital and The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis. The Foundation is registered as a separate 501 (c) 3 public charity and is responsible for all philanthropic giving that advances the mission of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
A Board of Directors, appointed by the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Board, governs the Foundation. The Foundation Vice President reports directly to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital President and serves on the hospital’s Executive Administration Team. Under the Foundation Vice President’s direction, Foundation staff manage day-to-day operations, gift development, fund administration, and gift allocations according to donor wishes.
