Meet Your Radiologists
Your radiologist is the doctor who reads your radiology study, for example an MRI or CT scan, and then delivers your results to your physician. It is very important that the radiologist who reads your study be highly trained to make sure you get accurate results the first time. In general, radiologists train for 13 or 14 years in preparation for their career, but here at Barnes-Jewish Hospital our top radiologists have raised the bar even higher. 100% of our radiologists become sub-specialized in specific areas of the body and are trained to detect even the smallest abnormality. All of the radiologists at Barnes-Jewish Hospital are board certified and are recognized experts in their field. Many of our radiologists can be found on America’s Top Doctors, published annually by Castle Connolly and on Best Doctors in America, developed by Best Doctors Inc.

Meet Your Radiologic Technologists and Staff
Your radiologic technologist is the person who performs your radiology study, for example an MRI or CT scan. It is very important that the radiologic technologist be highly trained to make sure you get the best image possible and ultimately accurate results the first time. 100% of the technologists at Barnes-Jewish Hospital are registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and have gone through extensive training to know how to use the minimal amount of radiation to obtain your images.
Additionally, all sonographers at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Radiology are registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Since every patient is unique, the sonographer’s high-quality training enables them to distinguish even the most subtle differences between normal and abnormal anatomy.
“The most rewarding part about being a radiologic technologist at BJH Radiology is the opportunity to make an impact and help someone else.”
- Ronald Rivers, RT(R), CT
“Patients should have their imaging done at BJH Radiology because the staff really knows their profession and they really value their work ethic along with their patient’s well-being and comfort.”
- Amber Sax, RT(R), Neuroradiology
“It feels good to be a part of a team of the best-trained sonographers and radiologists that cares about every single patient they scan. We do a lot of complex cases, and it’s very rewarding to be a part of a team that does its absolute very best to diagnose and help develop treatment plans for our patients.”
- Angela Seidel, RDMS, Ultrasound
