Tracy, LVAD and Heart Transplant Recipient

Tracy was sick and weak, suffering from end-stage heart failure. A tiny pump called a left ventricular assist device (LVAD), kept her heart beating while she waited for a transplant. With her new heart and restored health, Tracy is able to live a full life with her family.
