Barnes-Jewish Extended Care is part of the Barnes-Jewish continuum of top ranked, compassionate care. It is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, located at 401 Corporate Park Drive in Clayton, Missouri. Tucked away in a quite respite of Clayton, Barnes-Jewish Extended Care offers peace of mind knowing your loved one is well cared for in a safe, secure and pleasant environment.

Organized as a hospital-based facility, Barnes-Jewish Extended Care is under the direction of Barnes-Jewish Hospital medical staff with full support of laboratory and rehabilitation departments. Services range from minimal assistance to subacute post-hospital recovery. Our patients range from the young to the elderly, as well as post-trauma rehabilitation patients and those in need of hospice or respite care.

Activities at Barnes-Jewish Extended Care are designed to enhance the well being of the residents. Our trips, entertainment and social activities help to provide the physical, mental and social stimulation that promote and support quality of life and family involvement.

Dining Services

Dining at Barnes-Jewish Extended Care has an inviting, homelike atmosphere, with families and friends of residents always welcome. Each of the assisted dining rooms features a cozy fireplace and expansive windows. Or residents and their families can enjoy elegant restaurant-style dining in the main dining room. Mealtime hours enable residents and their families to enjoy meals at their own pace, and with daily choices, all nutritionally balanced.

Other Amenities

The facility features a library, chapel, gift shop, sitting rooms, and barber and beauty services. A bright living room is available to reserve for family get togethers. It overlooks a beautiful courtyard with a gazebo, mature trees, flowers and seating areas.

Community Programs

Beyond our long-term care and rehabilitation services, we also offers community programs to help people maximize their independence and prevent them from returning to the hospital or a long-term care facility. Programs include the Aphasia Conversation Connection and the Personal Exercise Program.
