Dining at Barnes-Jewish

Barnes-Jewish Hospital south
The meal service program for patients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital south is called Catering To You. A Catering Associate will visit you throughout the day to offer you menu selections, prepare and serve your meal tray, and take care of any additional food service needs you may have.

Patient Meals are generally served between these hours:
Breakfast: 7-9 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Dinner: 4:45-6:30 p.m.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital north
The Dining On Call program allow inpatients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital north to order meals by telephone at their convenience between 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m., similar to a hotel's room service.

Please see the menu in your room which will direct you to call 314-454-5362 to order a meal.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital south and north
The department of food and nutrition provides kosher meals through an authorized caterer, which is supervised by the Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis. If you wish to observe a kosher, vegetarian or other special diet, and have not already indicated your wishes in admitting, please advise your nurse or food service associate.

Guest Trays
You may order a guest tray for a visitor. Ask your nurse or food service associate for an extra menu. The cost of guest trays is $6.50 for breakfast and $7.50 or $8 for lunch or dinner.

The cafeterias are open daily at the following times:

Breakfast: 5:45-10:00 a.m.
Continental: 10:30-11 a.m.
Grill: 6:15 a.m.-3 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Dinner: 4:45-7:30 p.m.
Evening Snack Items:7:30-8:45 p.m.
Night Supper: 8:30 p.m.-3 a.m.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital north located on the street level of the Kingshighway Building
Breakfast: 6-10:30 a.m.
Continental: 10:30-11 a.m
Lunch: 11 a.m.-4:15 p.m.
Dinner: 4:45-7 p.m.
Night Supper: 8:45 p.m.-12 a.m.

Vending Machines
Vending machines, located on the main north-south corridor and the street level of the East Pavilion and Kingshighway Building, provide hot and cold drinks, snacks, and sandwiches.

Queeny Tower Restaurant
The Queeny Tower Restaurant has been serving visitors, guests, visitors, patients, employees and visitors of Washington University Medical Center for more than 40 years.

Queeny Tower Restaurant is located on the 17th floor of Queeny Tower and offers a panoramic view of Forest Park and St. Louis. It is open from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, and the menu offers a wide variety of lunch choices, including a buffet. Carryout is available by calling 314-362-1394.

Coffee Bars
A Ritazza Coffee Bar is located at the end of the pedestrian bridge for the parking garage at Barnes-Jewish Hospital south. Coffee and baked goods are available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m - 6 p.m., and Saturday, from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m., except holidays.

A Ritazza Coffee Bar also is located in the first floor lobby of the Center for Advanced Medicine. Coffee and baked goods are available Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Revenue from the coffee bars and Clover Creamery, which are supported by the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Auxiliaries, Parkview and Plaza Chapters, is donated to the hospital.

Food Cart
Food cart service is available in the Center for Advanced Medicine, just east of the security office on the first floor. The cart features a variety of grab-n-go items such as sandwiches, salads, chips, bottled drinks and fresh fruit. The hours of operation are 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
