Community Health Needs Assessment
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) wants to be certain that not-for-profit hospitals are helping their communities.The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) was passed into law in March 2010. It requires hospitals with tax exempt status to carefully explore the community’s needs every three years and create an action plan to address the needs.
