Patient Meal Service Programs
The meal service program for inpatients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital's south campus is called Catering-To-You. Food service associates visit patients throughout the day to offer menu selections, prepare and serve meals, and take care of any additional food service needs. Patient meals are generally served at the following times:
Breakfast: 7:00-9:00 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Dinner: 4:45-6:00 p.m.
The Dining-On-Call program allows inpatients at Barnes-Jewish Hospital's north campus to order meals by telephone at their convenience between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Patients can find menus in their room and meals can be ordered by calling (314) 454-5362.
Guest Trays
Patients may order a guest tray for visitors by asking a nurse or food service associate for an extra menu. The cost of guest trays is $6.50 for breakfast, $7.50 for lunch or dinner.
Cafeteria Dining
Two cafeterias are available for Barnes-Jewish Hospital patients and guests.

The south cafeteria is open daily from 5:45 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, night supper, snacks and beverages. From 8 p.m.-1:30 a.m., only grab-and-go items are available. |
North Cafeteria |

The north cafeteria is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, night supper, snacks and beverages. From 6-8 p.m., only grab-and-go items are available. |
Queeny Tower Restaurant
The Queeny Tower Restaurant has been serving visitors, guests, patients and employees of Washington University Medical Center for more than 40 years, offering a
wide variety of lunch choices, including a buffet.
Queeny Tower Restaurant is located on the 17th floor of Queeny Tower and offers a panoramic view of Forest Park and St. Louis. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. For reservations or carryout, call (314) 362-1394.
Coffee Bars
Coffee bars are located at the end of the pedestrian bridge for the parking garage at Barnes-Jewish Hospital south, and in the first floor lobby of the Center for Advanced Medicine. Coffee and baked goods are available Monday through Friday from 6:15 a.m to 5 p.m. at both locations. The coffee bar in the Center for Advanced Medicine also features a variety of grab-and-go items such as sandwiches and salads. Revenue from the coffee bars is donated to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Auxiliary.
Vending Machines
Vending machines, located on the main north-south corridor and the street level of the East Pavilion and Kingshighway Building, provide drinks, snacks and sandwiches.
Kosher Meals
The department of food and nutrition provides kosher meals through an authorized caterer. If you wish to observe a kosher, vegetarian or other special diet, and have not already indicated your wishes in admitting, please advise your nurse or food service associate.
