Clinical Pastoral Education
Barnes-Jewish Hospital is accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education to offer level I/II and supervisory education training programs of clinical pastoral education (CPE) that may lead to professional certification as a chaplain. Locally, Barnes-Jewish is part of the St. Louis Cluster, ACPE and offers full time internships during the summer, part-time externships in the fall, winter and spring, and year-long residencies. CPE trainees are actively involved in direct patient, family and staff care during their training.
For more information, visit St. Louis Cluster ACPE or the national ACPE. Contact chaplain James Bennett at (314) 362-4642 for more information.
