Dear Folks,
Please accept this donation as a memorial gift in honor of Carolyn…she was so appreciative of all you were able to do for her. With your expertise and encouragement, she “fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.” I am proud to have had her in my life. God blessed her mightily through the devotion of her family…”
Mizpah,
Nora White
“She was a spectacular Sunday School teacher,” Nora White says of her friend Carolyn. But church was not all they shared. Both were diagnosed with the same type of breast cancer. And that was when Carolyn’s giving nature really shone through.
“As I fought my cancer, Carolyn did everything to encourage me,” says Nora. Though Carolyn’s job meant frequent travel, she sent flowers, made meals for Nora’s family, and called her. “She even gave me her Blackberry number so I could reach her anywhere in the world,” said Nora.
When Carolyn’s prognosis became bleak, she found Siteman Cancer Center. “She was enormously grateful for what you did for her,” said Nora. “You gave her hope.
You gave her another year with her grandchildren.”
Nora’s tribute gift to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation in memory of Carolyn is a celebration of gratitude and giving. We are delighted to help Nora honor her remarkable friend, and grateful ourselves for Nora’s generosity that will bring hope and healing to others.
