Good Dental Habits Key to Healthy Teeth

You have only your dental habits to blame if your teeth aren't as healthy as you would like them. A study published in 2004 in the Journal of Dental Research found that people who smoked, who did not brush their teeth or who did not see a dentist routinely were more likely to have dental problems. Smoking can lead to poor dental health because smoking restricts the amount of blood flowing to the gums.
