Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)

The purpose of Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) is to present core-level knowledge, refine skills and build a firm foundation in trauma nursing. The TNCC is a 16-hour course designed to provide the learner with cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills to better assess and treat the pediatric or trauma patient. This course includes lecture and hands-on skill stations covering assessment and treatment of the severely injured patient. This certification is valid for four years and successful completion of the TNCC course includes passing a multiple-choice examination and demonstrating critical steps of the skill stations. Recommended for emergency room and intensive care unit floor nurses. Nurses in other clinical areas would benefit and should be encouraged to attend a TNCC course.

TNCC dates:

August 20-21, 2014
