Gynecology (general)
The Division of Gynecology is focused on providing state-of-the-art therapies and compassionate care to women dealing with any number of gynecological issues, including: Women's Wellness, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, menopausal medicine and hormone replacement therapies.
Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology
Washington University offers the only program in St. Louis dedicated to meeting the special needs of pediatric and adolescent gynecology patients. As such, the Washington University Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology has become a major referral center within the Midwest. While the division is focused on preventing unwanted teen pregnancies (through abstinence and contraception counseling), it also recognizes the special needs of pregnant teens. The Teen Pregnancy Clinic provides obstetrical services, health education and counseling to pregnant adolescents up to the age of 17.
Urogynecology
The Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery treats women who may be experiencing problems with the urinary tract, their bladder or urethra, rectum or reproductive organs. This includes incontinence, voiding and defacatory dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic floor pain. The division holds a special interest in treating these conditions through non-surgical methods, including pelvic floor physical therapy.
