The Washington University urologists at Barnes-Jewish Hospital offer a wide range of leading-edge treatment options -- both surgical and nonsurgical -- for medical conditions of the urogenital tract, including the prostate and testicles in males and the kidneys and bladder in both males and females.

The Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine offers the latest in specialized treatments for all forms of urological cancer, including cancer of the prostate, kidney, bladder and testicle. In the area of minimally invasive surgery, for example, our physicians are leading the way in refining focal ablation to treat cancer. Using needles, they are able to freeze (cryoablation) or use heat (radiofrequency ablation) to destroy cancer cells, achieving the excellent outcomes with substantially reduced pain and discomfort to patients.
