The Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Heart & Vascular Center, in partnership with the St. Louis Blues and The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, will be providing automated external defibrillators to Missouri or Illinois community organizations or schools in need.
During St. Louis Blues home games, a limited edition T-shirt is available in the Team Store with the proceeds going to The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital. All proceeds donated to The Foundation will be used to fund lifesaving AEDs for organizations in our community.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans suffer a cardiac arrest each year. A large percentage die, often before receiving advanced medical attention. The key to preventing death from a sudden cardiac arrest is intervention with an automated external defibrillator (AED). The odds of surviving cardiac arrest decline dramatically during every minute that defibrillation and/or CPR is not provided.
Complete the form below and tell us how your organization would benefit from receiving an AED. We will be selecting recipients throughout the year.
