This one-day course is designed to provide an overview of the medical and rehab management of patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). When providing care to this patient population, interdisciplinary collaboration is imperative to improving long term outcomes. The therapist must understand underlying medical issues while also incorporating the use of monitoring equipment into their treatment plan. The purpose of this course is to provide information and resources that will help physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists effectively manage patients in the ICU.
This course is now being offered in an online format only on Saturday August 22nd. This course is only accepting new registrations from rehab clinicians from BJC facilities and BJC collaboratives.
