January 28, 2004, ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Hyundai Dealers generously donated $100,000 to the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. The funds will benefit cancer research for young patients.

"We are grateful to have the generosity of the St. Louis Hyundai Dealers," says W. Frank Elston, vice president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital''s Foundation. "This kind of gift is essential to help physicians and researchers at Siteman Cancer Center find ways to improve the health of these cancer patients."

As part of its commitment to raise money for pediatric cancer research and treatment, Hyundai donates $2 from every car sold in each of its Central Region states. The Central Region Hyundai Dealers Advertising Association approved the gift to Siteman Cancer Center, as well as three other health care organizations in Illinois and Ohio. Hyundai Motor America''s entire dealer network of more than 610 dealers nationwide joins forces each year to raise money for this cause.
