An artist, and educator, and a giver display the power of art in the healing process that inspired Barnes-Jewish Hospital's Arts + Healthcare program.

BJH Foundation givers help to bring to Barnes-Jewish Hospital an innovative surgical system, offered at only a handful of hospitals, that supports more accurate and safer brain tumor removal.

As both a major employer and health care provider in the region, Barnes-Jewish Hospital has a leadership role to play in advancing diversity and cultural competence in the St. Louis community. The BJH Foundation supported Hospital leadership in this effort with a $1.56 million gift to launch the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Diversity and Cultural Competence.

2006 marks the 10th anniversary of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation.  During the last decade, Foundation donors have made possible a myriad of research initiatives, community programs, patient care services, and educational opportunities that have helped to make Barnes-Jewish Hospital one of the best in the country.
