Conveniently located at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University Medical Center, Barnes Lodge provides a home away from home for families and patients who travel to St. Louis for medical treatment. Barnes Lodge provides a safe, comfortable and affordable atmosphere with staff on duty 24 hours daily to provide support and assistance.
Barnes Lodge evolved from the collaborative efforts of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital auxiliary and the department of social work. A 5-bedroom temporary facility was established in 1985 and matured into the current 20-guest-room home in January 1991. Funding was made possible by a generous donation from the hospital auxiliary.
