IMRI: Brain Imaging in the Operating Room
Loading the player...

Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (IMRI) allows neurosurgeons to see real-time images of a patient's brain in the operating room. Imaging during surgery provides an opportunity for surgeons to work more accurately, letting them see right away whether they have removed enough of a tumor and reducing the likelihood of the patient needing followup surgery.
