COMMUNITY SERVICE

Whether it’s offering mentorship programs for transplant patients, teaching teens how to be good parents or providing medical care free of charge, Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s outreach and charity care have a profound impact on the communities we serve. In 2011, we dispensed approximately 30,000 free flu vaccinations, facilitated over 100 educational programs and provided over $20 million in charity care.

In addition, we encourage and foster an environment where our employees get directly involved in the community. From mentoring high school students to offering free medical screenings in homeless shelters, our employees take pride in taking their skills to those who need it most.
