Our two-year fellowship is designed to provide the guidance, flexibility, and hands-on experience necessary to exploring your interests while building a strong foundation in hospital operations and governance.
The first year is fully rotational, offering broad exposure to different areas of the hospital and health care system while developing experience navigating complex organizational structures. The second year allows fellows to dive deeper, focusing on a specific department or strategic initiative based on individual interests and organizational priorities.
Throughout the fellowship, fellows are supported by a robust mentorship network, including a preceptor, executive mentors, alumni mentors, fellow alumni, current fellows, and senior leaders across Barnes-Jewish Hospital and BJC HealthCare. These relationships provide ongoing guidance, professional development, and support as fellows navigate complex projects and leadership decisions.
