Barnes-Jewish & Washington University Stroke & Cerebrovascular Center accepts physician referral for diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, one-time consultations or second opinions.
As a Comprehensive Stroke Center, we treat more than 1,400 ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients per year—including more than 200 patients with brain aneurysms. We offer a streamlined approach for referring physicians, reducing barriers to patient transfers and saving critical time for acute stroke patients.
BJC Transfer Center
Through a single phone call to Barnes-Jewish’s BJC Transfer Center at (800) 252-DOCS (3627), a physician will coordinate acute referrals, including hospital-to-hospital transfers.
