At Barnes-Jewish Hospital, the Washington University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers a complete line of medical services to maintain optimal gynecologic well being throughout the phases of a woman's life, including those in her pre-reproductive years, child-bearing years and menopausal years. Physicians in the department provide evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gynecological disorders and diseases, making this the largest center of its kind in the Midwest.
Full-time faculty physicians, who are either board-certified or board-eligible in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology, provide patient care. Many of these faculty members participate in multi-center clinical research studies that allow access by their patients to new drug therapies and treatments. These physicians represent all subspecialties within the practice of obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn).
