Patient Support Services
Our aim is to make you and your family feel welcome and comfortable. To assist you, we offer:
Family services
When you have a baby with a serious health condition, you face physical, emotional and spiritual challenges. Through our family support services, we provide the additional information and special support you need during this difficult time.
Lodging
The Women & Infants Center provides information on lodging near Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital for family members or friends. We are happy to help find short or long-term accommodations that will meet their needs and budget.
Spiritual care
Our spiritual care and guidance team is on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year for our patients and their family members. Our interfaith chaplains, chaplain trainees and volunteers minister to all faith traditions, including those with no specific religious affiliation.
We welcome the opportunity to provide you and your family with support and compassion, which know no religious boundaries. Your medical team can contact our spiritual care team and arrange the help you need during a difficult time.
Language services
We offer complimentary interpreter services in numerous languages and for those with speech and hearing impairments. Our interpreter and language services are offered 24 hours a day.
Office of Patient and Family Affairs
Our Office of Patient and Family Affairs works to resolve any patient and family concerns about medical care and treatment at the Women & Infants Center. If you have a question or complaint that hasn’t been adequately addressed, our patient affairs staff can help. For more information, please review our hospitality services.
