Having a baby can be scary and exciting. At the Women & Infants’ Teen Pregnancy Center, we’re here to provide support for teens throughout their pregnancies.

At the Center, teens can meet other teenagers like themselves who are going through the same experience. We are one of only two centers in St. Louis that provide comprehensive medical care and support for pregnant teenagers age 17 and under.

Teen Pregnancy Care

Teen Pregnancy Center Services

Established in 1999, the Center provides care for teen moms throughout their pregnancies and helps prepare them for life as young mothers. Teens meet as a group weekly for classes, prenatal checkups and support from the Center staff and other teens.

Other children, the baby’s father, family members and close friends are welcome to attend meetings. We provide healthy snacks and even transportation to and from the meetings, if needed.

At the Center, teen moms receive:

  • Prenatal checkups, including ultrasounds to monitor baby’s health
  • Healthy eating and living advice
  • Childbirth classes designed specifically for teenagers
  • Parenting skills classes
  • Life skills classes
  • Assistance with school and job training
  • Service referrals for after birth
